SAILORS’ GATE
Address: ul. Żeglarska, 87-100
The Sailors’ Gate (Brama Żeglarska) was once the most important entranceway to the city and is where the Kings of Poland would have entered Toruń. The route to the centre of the city was known as the Royal Route and some of the more expensive properties in Toruń were built along it. The gate was originally constructed in the thirteenth century, although it was heavily renovated during the nineteenth century.
The gate is always freely accessible.
