The city has many landmarks, but this is one of the most notable, a defensive tower that was constructed during the fourteenth century and is known locally as Krzywa Wieża w Toruńiu. It started to tilt due to the sandy soil underneath it, but despite what looks like a precarious structure, it has survived over the centuries. It has been used for multiple purposes, including as a prison, as a restaurant, as offices and it’s now used as a museum.

There is an admission charge of 7zl for adults and 5zl for concessions. The museum is open from 10.00 until 18.00 on Mondays to Saturdays and is closed on Sundays.
