This tenement house was first constructed in the fourteenth century, although has been much renovated and restored since then. It today houses a branch of the regional museum, specialising in far eastern and oriental art. The subject type may be a little niche, but there are relatively extensive collections of Japanese and Chinese arts and crafts, with a well-designed Japanese garden at the rear of the property.
There is an admission charge of 12zl for adults and 9zl for concessions, with no entry fee on Wednesdays. The museum is closed on Mondays and opens at 10.00 on Tuesdays to Sundays, closing at 18.00 between May and September, and at 16.00 between October and April.
