Bridge Gate takes its name from where the first bridge in the area across the Vistula River was located. There are information boards at both former ends, although only the one on the Toruń side is in English, but it’s worth walking to the south side of the river, near to the city’s main railway station. Here there’s a short walk along a quiet road to the river, where there are panoramic views of Toruń.

The two bridgeheads at either side of the Vistula River are both always freely accessible.
