This charming little museum is often overlooked by visitors to the city, but it opened in 2014 and it tells the story of the diocese. The building’s grand wooden staircase is visible on entering the museum, with a temporary exhibition on the ground floor and then two floors of permanent exhibits reached via the staircase. There are numerous paintings, chalices, clothing and sculptures from various different churches in the region. The staff here are friendly and engaging, being keen to give a personal welcome to visitors.

There is an admission charge of 5zl for adults and 3zl for concessions, and although there is no longer always free admission, it’s still free on Sundays. The museum is open from 10.00 until 16.00 on Tuesdays to Sundays and is closed on Mondays.
